Since its inaugural meeting in 1997 the CEM conferences have been held in
the United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Denmark, France, Switzerland, Italy,
The Czech Republic, Turkey, Portugal and now Budapest.

Said to be one of the most beautiful cities in Europe,Budapest’s extensive
World Heritage Site includes the banks of the Danube, the Buda Castle
Quarter, Andrassy Avenue and Heroes Square. Budapest has around 80
geothermal springs as well as the world’s largest thermal water cave system.
The city attracts about 4.4 million tourists a year, making it the 25th most
popular city in the world, and the 6th in Europe.

“The last CEM event in Lisbon was very well attended with delegate numbers
increasing by 22%” coming from 40 different countries, the event provided
delegates with the latest information on technologies, methods, applications,
legislation and standards in relation to the emissions monitoring of pollutants
including: particulates, SO2, NOx, CO, CO2, VOCs, trace pollutants and
greenhouse gases.

In addition to a Conference featuring speakers from 13 countries there was
an Exhibition of over 50 of the world’s leading providers of measurement
technology and analytical services, in addition to regulators and standards
organisations. As a result, visitors were able to access the latest help and
advice on the regulations that affect their sector, the methods that apply to
their processes, the applicable standards and the latest technologies for
achieving accurate reliable measurement data that meets the requirements of
their environmental permit.
